‘Kolkata,' derived from the original name ‘Kalikshetra' (which means, Place of Goddess ‘Kali'). During the British rule, the name was anglicized to Calcutta, which was again changed to Kolkata. Kolkata is located on the Eastern Banks of the River Hoogly. The city is modern and vibrant with a substantial combination of the rich Indian tradition and culture. Hence, the name ‘City of Joy'
