Project Cargo

Heavy Cargo Handled at Kandla Port for Dubai

•  Cargo weight of 45 tons loaded on 20' FR.

•  A lot of co-ordination had taken place between GLWW, the Port authorities, Customs, and Vessel Operator, in order to convince them that we could handle the same. GLWW had chalked out a plan as to how the shipment would be handled in order to convince the Port Authorities. A proposal to this effect was made to all concerned authorities.

Loading Process:

•  The cargo had to be lifted off the truck with two cranes, and simultaneously the container was placed.

•  After stuffing, the cargo was lashed and welded with the container in order to maintain safety.

•  As the container alone cannot be lifted with the heavy weight cargo, the unit and the cargo were lifted together and loaded on the vessel.
