With effective from Feb 01, 2010 for all FAKs arriving into Suva port, the Fiji quarantine department will check on every FAK unpacked at any CFS in Suva and Lautoka.
Containers must be free of insects and should be clean internally and externally. All timber pallets, crates & packaging must be ISPM 15 stamped. Non-compliance of this requirement will result in the FAKs being fumigated by the quarantine department before they can be unpacked and all related costs will be charged to the port of loading agents accordingly.
