Mexican Manifest Filing, wef 31Aug 2007

Pls note that effective August 31st, 2007 , Mexico will begin with a new import regulation for ocean shipments known as: Regla 2.4.13.

This new regulation is similar to the AMS filing for USA . This means that all pertinent information on the HB/L / Manifest, such as:
- Name of vessel and voyage number
- Total number of House B/L´s
- House B/L number
- Codes of Country and Place of Origin
- Codes of Country and Port of Loading
- Codes of Country and Port of Transhipment
- Codes of Country and Port of final destination
- Name and full address of shipper (as shown on HB/L )
- Name and full address of consignee ( as shown on HB/L )
- Name and full address of Notify Party ( as shown on HB/L )
- Number of pieces and type of packaging
- Gross weight and volume of merchandise. For FCL shipments, weight and volume per container to be specified.
- Detailed description of merchandise (no general descriptions, such as " general cargo ", "chemicals " will be admited)

- Type of Container
- Container Number
- Seal Number
- Type of Service ( LCL/LCL, FCL/FCL, others )
- In the case of dangerous goods: Class, Division, UN number as well as name of contact person and emergency phone number

- Estimated sailing date from POL
must be sent to delivery agents at POD 72 hours *before* estimated sailing date from Port of Loading ( POL ), as they must file this information electronically at least 24 hours before scheduled departure from the port of loading at origin.
